Mr
Sayling Wen, eminent founder of Town and Talent Technologies,
passed away at the age of 55 at 3:30pm on December 7, 2003.
On the morning of December 4, Mr. Wen suffered a severe stroke
and fell into a comatose state. Though his blood pressure
and heartbeat recovered for a short time, his medical situation
remained grave. At 3pm, his condition again deteriorated.
After undergoing thirty minutes of emergency medical care,
Mr. Wen died at the age of 55. His death struck people of
all walks of life with overwhelming grief.
Since 2000, Mr. Sayling Wen has entirely devoted himself
to western Chinese development and the enduring problem of
poverty. After visiting 12 provinces in western China, he
presented the revolutionary theory that western China could
be developed within ten years. In doing so, he laid the seeds
of the Town and Talent Project. Mr. Wen invested 50 million
US dollars in founding Town and Talent Technologies. He hoped
to realize his dream of developing western China with high
technology and the Internet. Over the past three years, he
labored painstakingly to refine the operation and management
of Town and Talent Technologies. He also implemented a policy
of bypassing the industrial phase in Yellow Sheep River and
50 other impoverished villages. His commitment and vision
ensured that the majority of his aims were accomplished. The
last four works Mr. Wen authored, as well as his final speech,
all revolved around the Town and Talent Project. In this manner,
he put forward seven key steps for resolving the deep-rooted
problems of poverty. It both provided the basis for executing
the Town and Talent Project and conferred a specific direction
for the company.
Mr. Sayling Wen is the true innovator behind the OTschool.
In order to improve education in underdeveloped areas, he
proposed a means of using networks and the most advanced technology
available to assist students in Town and Talent member schools.
This allowed these exceedingly underprivileged children to
learn on a level playing field with children from developed
areas. In thus assisting member schools, Mr. Wen wished to
display the compassion and altruism that would serve as the
means and motivation in developing western China and eliminating
poverty once and for all.
The International Convention Center in Yellow Sheep River
(YSRICC) has already progressed to the interior decorating
stage. Housing for executives with families and unmarried
staff dormitories are currently in use. The YSRICC will formally
open to the public in April of 2004. Dr. Lin, president of
Town and Talent Technologies, stated, "The Town and Talent
Project represents the heart of Mr. Wen's dream. All plans
will proceed at an increased speed, such that all seven of
Mr. Wen's steps for attaining western Chinese development
can be achieved by 2004 in Yellow Sheep River.
Mr. Wen once said, "As a Christian, I believe that life
is the moments that we present on stage. Death and darkness
is the backdrop that enhances the gloss and beauty of life.
Everyone will play a different role on the stage of life;
to perform your role as well as you can ensures the best show."
