Encounter Xi Da Tan

    In August of 2006, ZHU Yongxiang and other staff from EDEN Foundation visited Huang Yang Chuan Town in Gulang County. After they came to Huang Yang Chuan, they found out that lots of social resources had already been put into this town and there was another poorer place named Xi Da Tan nearby. ZHU Yongxiang group then went to Da Xi Tan and found Da Xi Tan Middle School. After their visit, ZHU decided to help the school.

    In April of 2007, ZHU and other three staff from EDEN Foundation visited our school again and donated 8,000 RMB. In addition, they decided to organize some volunteers to teach in our school later. EDEN Foundation then recruited 105 volunteers from Taiwan. After several times of communications and negotiations between our school and EDEN Foundations, specific plans about teaching contents, accommodations, and schedules were made and eventually the volunteering teaching was carried out.
