1.In our plan, we used the knowledge of Chinese, history, geography, computers, archeology, and geology and humanities and other subjects. Now our study is book-based, the teachers had lectures in the podium and we sat and listened. In the physics class or in the chemical class, we also occasionally encountered several experiments, and then our teacher demonstrated it in the classroom, but now such a model has not satisfied us. We are successors in the new century, we should not be confined within the knowledge in books, and there’re should be more practice.
To learn the contents of books and have a general understanding of all knowledge, and then converted into practice, this activity has presented us a practice opportunity to fully demonstrate our capacity. We were in practice process, who were familiar with computers were responsible for website making, who was good at writing were responsible for writing manuscripts, integrating materials. In our cooperation, we demonstrated the independence of everyone. We learned other abilities in this activity, such as computer operations, the use of digital cameras, as well as communication skills with people and so on.

2.Telephone, internet and letters
3.In this event, we learned a lot such as basic operations on computer, (Microsoft Word document, Microsoft Excel worksheets, the use of Microsoft IE 6.0 , the preservation of web pages, photo uploads, etc.), digital camera operations (photos and video ), the use of U disk. What’s more important was that we learned how to share with others and deal with others.

4.When we started this activity, many students wanted to participate in this event, but for some reason, they did not personally participate in, and we had to help them in the completion of their wishes.
     In the field interview process, we met a lot of people, there were small shop owner, the grandpa met before we went to the water plant, the natives who picking wild vegetables in the mountains as well as shepherds, they heard that we want to interview the Mamenxi dinosaurs, they were very happy and told us what they know as much as possible, because of their help, we had more convenience in our interview.

    
5.In research activities, our teacher pointed out at the beginning that our work must be done by ourselves and could not copy someone else's work, we should have our own unique insight and fully demonstrated our capabilities. For some information on the internet, we must first ask for someone else's permission before we used it.

In this event, the most impressive thing was that the field interview, we set off early in the morning and went to Haishi Bay. Along the way, we spoke with smile, imagining our reaction when we reached the site of the unearthed dinosaur. However, everything was so surprised. We walked from the entrance of the ditch and found that the outside mountains were bare, without any green, as we step forward, the scene was increasingly attracting, there were a lot of grass there, the more inside the greener, and we were all amazed by the green hills.

  
    

Finally we spent a lot of energy to find the remain, because the original brand of the site was disappeared, it seemed that it was buried by rocks, we could only based on the description of a shepherd to find the location of the site. That was the reason why we thought that this interview was impressing. We paid and we got what we want.

7.Our school was located in the Honggu district in Lanzhou, Gansu in northwest China. The Honggu district was rich in coal resources and oil resources. This reminded us the geological conditions billions of years ago; there must be certainly a dense forest, then there were definitely lots of species here. In the last century, archaeologists have excavated a few dinosaur fossils here.

 

Because the Honggu District records had detailed records on the discovery process and staff, we contacted the authors of Honggu District records by telephone. The two old grandpas who were over the age of 70 and retired at home Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhang, when we explained our intentions, the two old people gave us a number of important clues in the calls.

 

Through the internet, our group collected a lot of information and news about Mamenxi dinosaurs, and in many websites, we also saw lots of precious pictures and chose lots of pictures to use on our website.


In order to explore the dinosaur remain, we must first find our way. We used e-mail to contact the archaeological enthusiasts who had explored the dinosaur remain and we also inquired the teachers in our school face to face, they provided us with useful information.


In the field visits, we also asked the small shop keeper, the water plant staff and the shepherd and finally made sure where the dinosaur remain located.

During the visits, there have been some interesting things, there were several big grooves in the mountains, we could not determine which one was right, but because the heavy rain, the mud and water buried the sites in the ruins so that we passed the dinosaur remain three times but we didn’t find the right location. Eventually, students climbed to the summit and asked the shepherd and finally made sure that the dinosaur remains which we passed three times.

In fact, the dinosaur unearthed in Honggu district was known by everyone, since a dinosaur statues was located in the square in the opposite side of the Honggu government, but many people did not know where the dinosaur site was. When we went to explore the site, the students were very happy, talked and laughed along the way, and those who helped us also praised us, the shop owners appreciated that schools should organize more events and introduce our local customs to the nation, to the world, because this kind of activity was really very less and could really practice the children's social skills.

In fact, we distributed our tasks in the activity, but in the actual operation, we did not have a specific separation, for example, when we have operation difficulties in the computer, we helped each other to complete, we also discussed to fill up with some contents, so cooperation was better.
