To get accurate understanding of opinions of parents to children schooling, we decide to interview Doctor Feng in the town. By booking, we finally meet him.
Little reporter: Doctor Feng, how are you! Thank you very much for accepting our interview when you are so busy. We see a lot of people here. So, annually how many people come here?
Doctor Feng: I have never counted accurately, I can probably tell you about 5000 people annually!
Little reporter: So many! You must be very busy everyday. Now, do you have assistant in your medicine store?
Doctor Feng: no, I am the only one. Sometimes my wife will also come to help, when too many patients here.
Little reporter: how many children do you have? What do they do now? Do they go to school?
Doctor Feng: I have three children. Among them the eldest is a girl, she has already graduated from the school and she also is to learn a medical science, and works in a hospital of a city now. The second is a boy; he also finishes university now and work in the other parts of the country. The youngest one is in senior high school. Little reporter: Thank you! I know that a lot of parents here stop their children study when finishing primary school or middle school. Why do you support them schooling all?
Doctor Feng: In fact I also know this condition. Only, I have this handicraft, so my family is better than other families on economic aspect. In addition, I completely graduated from the school by myself, so I know how important going to school is, and then I insist on providing them schooling.
Little reporter: in the process of schooling, do you have any problems? How do you deal with them?
Doctor Feng: to provide three children with schooling, hardship is unavoidable. Particularly when they are all at school, I become sad for their school fees at beginning of each semester. At that time, no policy is produced to reduce fees. Their school fees are more than the income of our whole year. To support their study, I usually borrow from relatives, sometimes also go to bank for loan.
Little reporter: now, two of your children have already graduated, and also had own life. Facing your family circumstance nowadays, how do you think?
Doctor Feng: Tell the truth, when three children go to school, we can only eat 1 kilogram to 1.5 kilogram meat during Spring Festival. Now is better. Since the two children graduate, they can also subsidize home life. I believe tomorrow will be also better.
