    For influence from geography position, environment and life etc., local agriculture herding people's thought is still placed in old state. There are 12 poor villages in the town, and 12,400 are poor population. The poor rate is up to 51.7%, and return-poverty rate is high. Most families have four members. Besides parents, they still have a younger brother or a younger sister. They maintain a living by weather, labor and sweat. Boys in home can help their parents a lot. They usually go to outside part-time jobs together with adult at about 15 years old. The girls are similar. Although they don't go to outside part-time jobs, but have to look after everything at home when the parent go out for part-time jobs. When peak season is on a farm, they become the main labor force at home. The peak season on a farm in mountain and school beginning are simultaneous. As soon as school begins, the peak season on a farm follows.

    Under the influences the parent's idea, family economy and labor force etc., most children leave school at parent's request or as their own choice. And even some children have never entered a school

    For the sake of understanding the children in mountain striving for schooling, our group specially interviewed four classmates Zhang Yaowen, Liu Linhu, Wang Pingxian, Han Tao. We hope we can get some information from them.
