One nerve needs dozens of process, taking a month, but we failed to process it. We had no time to restart. We were all disappointed. Mr. Sun took out his processed leaves for us to try. We were very happy and wanted to try. Walking into his studio, we were all surprised by what we saw. All length pens, all size trays together with the mount leaf, they all showed his love for the pictures. That is why the leaf affected three generations.

We layed out the thin leaf but didn’t know how to start with the pen. We all were afraid to ruin the leaf. Mr. Sun figured out we were afraid and helped us: “though the leaf looks soft, but it is harder than the paper. It cannot be easily ruined. Relax and don’t look down on your leaf.” We relaxed and started to draw.

Though Mr. Sun comforts us, we were still careful. All the lines were thin and soft but we couldn′t see it clearly. But the leaf seemed to play hide-and-seek. If too soft, no mark on the leaves; if too hard, the mark becomes no clear. It is different to draw on leaf than on paper. We worked carefully as if we walked on the wire. Mr. Sun smiled: “the goodness of the leaf is that it can be corrected, if draft for several hours, adding some medicine, the leaf will be as clear as original”. With this, we were more relaxed. Taking the pens, we singed: dareless forward, my sisters. We draw boldly on the leaf. It was strange that the line was domicile and clear. It was because that the line was clear and easy to draw. As long as handling the skill, it was easy to draw the outline. But it needed patience to dye the color. I did the “ chushuifurong” to show mine and gained praise. Mr. Sun also helped me to add the dewdrops. Our work finished one after another, Mr. sun marked, which was an honour.

We followed Mr. Sun to his studio. The painter and color is mix. Only the pen is only the pen bottle, let alone the color. The most surprised is the 20 width pen hanging on the wall, which must not for the leaf nerve. But the leaf pictures are many on the leaf.

Mr. Sun took out the old paper box, taking the complete leaf. The leaf is in clear line and beautiful. Mr. Sun tried to ask us to do the painting, we were very happy to take out the pen to draw after mixing the color. Other two students finished the drawing fast, with all the lotus and figure vivid. They all said:” the leaf is easy to paint, like painting a paper. “ the effect is better than the paper, it is very environmentally-friend.

But I can draw even with many dyes. When I draw, the leave seems to absorb the color, with the only small marks on the nerve. I asked Mr. Sun: Mr. Sun, why my nerve can not draw?

Mr. Sun looked at my nerve and smiled: “sure, you can not draw, because you take the baila tree, which leaf is too think to draw”.

We just felt confused but now we understood.

I layed down looking at the leaf with many thinking. Then, the nerve picture requirements are that high. I admired Mr. Sun more:” the material is so hard to find, if I were him, I have given up. Mr. Sun is really a master; he is so powerful to create the nerve.
