Tongjiang is the source of Chinese tremella, named as “Chinese tremella homeland” by Chinese state council. Tongjiang tremella is famous for its density, tender, easy to boil and 8 kinds of amino acid necessary to human. It has more than 200 years history. In Qing dynasty, it once is taken as the gift to the emperor. In 1994, tongjiang was named by Chinese special products committee as “Chinese tremella homeland”.
Tongjiang county locates at the northeast part of Sichuan province, at the connection of Sichuan and shanxi province. To its north, it is shanxi province nanzheng, xixiang, zhenba towns; to its east, wanyuan town; to its south, pingchang; to its west, bazhong, nanjiang county. According to historic record, it is said that “ one ancient city beside three ba county covering all left part of Shu area”, “ to its back connecting to qinlong and stretching to jingwu”; “ the neck of baliang to its north”; “ the throat of shuchu to its east”. It covers 4116.58 square kilometers, with 14 districts, 79 counties, and 700000 population.
Tongjiang enjoys a long history for its county system. It has been proved by southern part of leigu zhai relic that, early at the new stone age our ancestor has settled here. Till southern dynasty liangtianjian 4 th year(505) coming to northern wei dynasty, it firstly named as Fuyang county. At the unification of western wei dynasty(535-551), it is named as Nuoshui county. In Tang dynasty, 8 th year of Wude, it was named as Bizhou. Finally, it is changed to tongjiang county at the 1 st year of Tianbao, more than 1200 years till today. |
