The financing of peace-keeping
Despite the establishment, maintenance and expansion of peace-keeping operations decided by the Security Council, but financing of the United Nations peace-keeping operations was the collective responsibility of all Member States of the United Nations.

Member States should follow the article 17th of the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, in accordance with the scale to contribute to peacekeeping. Except their compulsory contributions, many countries voluntarily and free of providing transportation, supplies, personnel and financial contributions and other forms of additional resources to support United Nations peacekeeping efforts. Despite the payment of peacekeeping assessments is the obligation of States, by the end of October 13, 2011, Member States of the current and past arrears had been amounting to approximately US $3.3 billion.
