Difficulties

Though we meet many difficulties in the process, we overcome them at the end. With teachers’ help and team members’ cooperation, we finish the website smoothly. We have learnt a lot about communication with others. Although the process of research is harsh, we know that there is no harvest without sowing. The sweet fruit comes only with hard work.

1、 No place to have meal

When we interviewed in Huangjiazhai Town for the first time, we didn’t have a guide, and thus wasted much time to finding roads. At last, we only found one senior artist in the field. Afterward, we realized the importance of preparation work. It was late when we finished our interview. What’s worse, there was no restaurant open at night. We had two Muslim students. At the end, each of us had steamed bread and drank a bottle of water. But we were still very happy.?

2、 Refusal of being interviewed

It was disappointed that our first interview was refused in Huangxi Village. But we didn’t give up. We went there for the second time and finally got the material we wanted.

3、Being insulted

In the propaganda of Four-tile Dance, our youngest team member, Chen Hai-hong was insulted by strangers. At first, she was very sad. With teacher’s encouragement, she finished her task at the end.

4、 No videos available

Our biggest difficulty is to find videos. When we interviewed in Huangjiazhai Town, the videos we found were not ideal. With the approaching of deadline, we were quite worried. Thanks to the cultural bureau, we borrowed several videos of Four-tile Dance at the end.

5、 Set team name

Everyone has his or her opinion in naming our team. After group discussion, we defined our team name as “Hongwen Team”, which meant publishing and developing our national folk culture. We hope our website can draw people’s attention to Qinghai folk culture.
