In three kingdoms dynasty, zhugeliang, the premier of shu kingdom, lead the troops to qi mountain six times through the sword gate. He saw here is very steep in the hill side, so he set up one barrier, by the side of the stone as the gate, so here is also named as sword gate barrier.

ZhuGe Liang set up Jianmen Pass Jianmen has beautiful natural scenery with six major characters and two expression. Six major characters: dangerous : its hill is steep and stones like the clouds. The steep valley likes cut by the axe, which is famous for its “once involved, no one pass”. Significance; the 72 peaks are all high and up to the clouds, it covers 100 miles on the northern Sichuan , as the neck of the Sichuan . Quite: all the valleys with the stream at the bottom just like the fairyland with the quite road. Green, the vegetable of jianmen peaks are unruined. The pines are green like a green wall which may indulge people with great tension. Strange: all the mountain stone and tree with various figures with many legend and story. Odd stone monster, stone dragen, tiger, toad, stalagmite so called “odd stones” the odd cave, includes, dachuan cave, xiaochuan cave, dragen cave; water odd, the water in jianmen is so sweet that it may do the bean product, with good taste. The animal is odd. All the treasurabl animal are numerous, especially the wulong, rare amphibian in the water. Two expressions: fog sea, at the morning of the summer and fall, the fog is waving like the dragons swimming in the cloud, on and off, which is very beautiful and charming; drizzling, at the late fall, it is drizzling for several days, when drizzling, the green mountains lock the fog, like the pictures and poems and attracting. Jianmen big barrier the troops According to the history, in jianxing 9 th year, (AD 231) , the premier of shu kingdom, zhugeliang, in order to reinforce the barrier, take the jianmen as the gate of the jianmen barrier. He use the dangerous, so called” stones around the sky cloudy, the banks standing like a gate” at the neck of the jian mountain barrier, it take the stones as the gate and setting the wei system. Since then, it become the fort named as once involved, no one pass. After that, all the dynasty are building and renewing the gate, which makes the jianmen guanbing tower more standing, as one famous site in jianmen shudao. In 1936, when building the chuanshan road, the tower was ruined. In order to resume the tower, in 1992 the country invest the guguan tower.
The guguan tower, is the mocking ancient building. It resume the original figure of Guguan tower, which has combined the environment with the guan tower with the around environment. The whole building has two layers and one bottom, with the height in 17.1 meters. The bottom are with the 80cm in length and height and width in 30 cm two slice of stones, with all layers in the building, as the around wall. The outside wall are sealed by the mud, which is mixed with the grass seed. When in spring, the stone wall is all green, it may resume its old expression, like experiencing the dust, which is liking the menlou build by kongming. The top of the stone wall, in all direction, it is made in all the building by the mocking han brick. All the 16 th log standing up to the top lay. When we go up to look over, all 72 peaks can be seen. The qinling mountain can be seen dimly. The roof are coating with the green tiles and lucky bird and animals. All spread to the sky. The bell are singing in the wind. Guandong eastern part, there is a barren in 760 height, which is connecting with the guanlou and city wall. When the visitors get into it, we can only see the flags waving on the guanlou , and streams at the bottom of the city wall, which remind us the thinking ancient. |

Shining sword and complicated gate---sword gate(jianmen)
Jianmen barrier is at the 45 kilometers away from the guanyuan city south, at the important site in jianmenshudao. This mountain covers hundreds of miles, with 72 mountains up to the sky unstopping like the steep, with the hills standing like the gate. there is one popular saying that” jianmen tianxia xiong” when go into 500 meters deep to the valley in the barrier, we can see the precedents marks” tianxia xiongguan” “diyiguan” “jiange qishier feng” its peaks near here are all green with beautiful scenery.
In three kingdoms, jiangwei the commnder of shu kingdom, once defending this barrier. 100000 troop are once being stopped here. right now, there is still the stone graved by” diyiguan”, “tianxiaxiongguan”. all the people can see the significance of 72 peaks in jiange, imagining the steep of the fort at that time.
