The hometown of No. 1 scholar

   There was a man named Wang Yue in South Song Dynasty, born in Qingshanguan. He studied hard at the Laixian Cave in Baihe Mount nearby County seat when he was young. Whether cold winter or hot summer, he kept reading. He was good at economics, his article was profound, narrating while arguing. In the 4th year of Shaodin era, he ranked first in the imperial examination, and became No.1 scholar appointed by emperor Lizong. Wang Yue was the only No.1 scholar in Cangxi’s history.
  Wang Yue lived in Guxue street which was located in the South Gate of county when he was old, it was known as the "the palace of No.1 Scholar". After returning home, he still helped people positively.Due to flood surge at that time , it was inconvenience for the people from town to city. Wang Yue built a double arch bridge on the river. The move was praised by the people, from now on, the bridge was named” No.1 scholar bridge". The tomb of Wangyue was located in Qingshanguan after he died. There is ancestral hall of Wang family in the front of grave, and tablets about Wang Yue in the ancestral hall. The tomb of Wang Yue is still surviving now.
