In DongHan Dynasty, Taoism founder Zhang Daoling set the dojo or church in West Sichuan, northern Sichuan and Hanzhoung area, a total of twenty-four governances. In Hanan two years, twenty-four governances which was set up by Zhang Daoling are divided into top eight grade governance, middle eight grade governance, low eight grade governance. Yuntai Mountain is the first of low eight grade governance.

 Zhang Daoling ruled out of other options, and chose to die in Yuntai Mountain, may have the following reasons analysis:

 First, geographical position. Yuntai Mountain is located in the northern Sichuan basin, the southern Daba Mountains, under the very backward traffic conditions at that time, geographical location is remote and occlusion, away from the noise of the earth, the quiet and peaceful environment is suitable for religious practice.

 Second, terrain features. Yuntai Mountain is Tai Chi graphic, and this is a concentrated reflection of Taoist culture in the natural mountains and rivers. We know that there is a close relationship among Taiji Bagua map and the five elements, qigong, alchemy. Dialectical wisdom and philosophical thought contained in Taiji Bagua are consistent with Taoism.
