Wengyu is the only wildwood area in Huayin City, it is
said Wengyu was also called Hongyu. Walking into Wengyu,
you can see “Longtan”(a pond) for first, and then a
“Wengtan” which is shaped a bit like a giant jar, hence
the name. In ancient times, Wengyu is a commerce and
trade passageway, north to Hanchen, Huanglong and south
to Luonan, shangzhou into the Laohekou of Bubei.
In Wengyu, mountains both sides are towering up, the
valley seems narrow in which the river flows fast. The
trail in valley, now turning eastwards, now turning
westwards. Facing the Jagged mountains, walkers seem to
walk in the teeth gap and like rowing boat on the river.
Since ancient times, the dwellings in villages had been
built at the wide hinterland of valley hill. Keep
staying in the mountains, with the lamb, and stopped
work at sunset, generations enjoy their wonderful
lifestyles.
