Description of "Our Community":Wufeng Temple is located on Wufeng Mountain which is 15 kilometers in the northwest of Weiyuan Town in Huzhu County. It is 45 kilometers away from Xining. The mountain got its name because its five peaks are like five fingers. Wufeng Temple was first built in 1642. It was made in the classical temple style. It became famous in the Qing Dynasty as one of the eight scenic spots in Huangzhong. It is also one of the five tourist areas of Tu minority group in Huzhu County.
Summary of Our Project:Wufeng Temple is a place of interest with a long history and natural scenery. And it also has great influence on the local culture and customs. Our research is mainly about Wufeng Temple. And we use our web to show you our research.
How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
       At first, we encountered a lot of difficulties due to a lack of experiences. But through the cooperation between us, we gained a lot of valuable experiences and improved our relationship. We also came to realize the strength of union. Without it, our webside could not be worked out so well.
How did your activities and research for this International Schools CyberFair project support content standards, required coursework and curriculum requirements?
        This activity is rather interesting to us, because it is the first time for us to learn something out of the classroom. And our ability to practise, to adapt and to communicate has also been improved through the activity. Our horizon has also been widened. As long as we work hard, we can gain something in the end.
Problems We Had to Overcome:
        We want to give our thanks to the employees in Town and Talent Co.,Ltd. as well as to Miss Li Zhihua. It is the first time for us to design web. We searched for the necessary information and consult relevant books to work out the framework of our webside, to collect data and to design the web. We also experienced a lot of setbacks such as missing the way and lacking computer skills. However, through the effort by all of us, we overcame all these difficulties int the end.

Our Project Sound Bite:As long as we work hard, we can finally succeed. Through environmental protection, human beings and nature can live in harmony.
In what ways did your students act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your International Schools CyberFair project both on-line and in person. Wufeng Temple is not only a scenic spot, but also the hometown of people of Tu minority group. We should try our best to protect it, protect the natural environment. As middle school students in the modern times, we should be responsible fro protecting the historic site. Let all of us make our own contribution to protecting it.
What has been or will be the impact of your project on your community?
        Through the combination of theory and practice, we have learned a lot and also will have a great influence. Our activity is greatly supported by the local people, as well as our parents. They give us some guidance in the interview, as well as some introduction to the temple. When they were told that we will show the temple to other people through the form of the web, all of them were rather happy and admired us. When we picked up the plastic bags thrown by the tourists, they also praised us. We ourselves also feel we have done something really meaningful. In the future, we will do more to show the natural beauty here to other people and call on more people to protect our environment.

Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises: Through this activity, we realized the application of knowledge learned in class is really important. To complete our task, we have combined several subjects together such as artistics, humanities, geography, Chinese, biology, chemistry and computer. Our horizon has been widened. The ability to practise, to learn and to communicate has also been improved. We are also more aware of the importance of protecting the historic site and we will try our best to do it well.
Special explanation on our work: In our research, the main works cited are Tourist Guide of Huzhu County and Tourist Materials and some photos. Most of the photos on our webside are taken by our team members. The main content also has been worked out by ourselves. We want to show our gratitude to all the people who have helped us a lot.
