Through my interviews, I summarized some features of the modern dwellings:
First, low cost and short construction time fit the need of fast building of every household's own house.
It is made of soil and wood, which lacks of steadiness and is easily damaged in earthquakes
The keynote of modern dwelling is grey walls and grey tiles and the compound mode is like 'ruler turn'and 'dustpan', which reflects the style of north Sichuan dwelling.
The modern dwelling is generally surrounded by huge amount of trees.
The construction made full use of given conditions, used convenient materials, economical and practical.
