Our feelings

Tibetan Buddhism has a far-reaching impact on the area. Tibetans have surprising piety to their belief, which can be considered a kind of spiritual conversion. It is a common thing to see Tibetans and Lamas prostrating in the temple. It is said that they should prostrate for ten thousand times with prayer beads in hand and in front which is used to count kowtow by stirring one prayer bead for each time.

All Tibetans are believers of Tibetan Buddhism. It is really hard for us to imagine their piety just with a simple understanding about common Buddhists. Along the road to Qinghai Lake, we can see many Lamas and Tibetans prostrating on it. Some will kowtow to Ta’er Temple or even Lhasa for pilgrimage.
Therefore, some pilgrims may pay with their lives for such pilgrimage. It is hard for us to understand the values here, but in their eyes losing life is a kind of completeness – not for this life but for afterlife. We have deeply felt the power of this spirit in Ta’er Temple. Moreover, we have learned lots of knowledge through the activity. However, since we are only passersby who are unable to integrate into the area, what we can do is bless them the ever-lasting flourish of the culture.
