“A Dou Cypress”locates in the middle of the Big Cypress Gulf。It is said Deng Ai,the general of the kingdom of Wei,broke the kingdom og Shu。The lord Liu Chan surrendered to Wei,being transfered to Luo Yang under guard。Passing by here,it was cloudy and rainy。A Dou,another name of Liu Chan,was no longer the emperor,even without a person who held an umbrella for him.The only thing he could do was to hide himself under the tree from the rain.The people still respected the lord very much,hoping he could cheer himself up and rebuild the kingdom of Shu.So the people built a dais for the lord to show their respect and hope after the lord left。However,Liu Chan ,the lord,fell in the happiness Wei offered and forgot his people and his duty when he arrived in Luo Yang,the capital of Wei.When the scandal came,the people were very angry and destroyed the dais.Meanwhile the people even hated the tree under which Liu Chan hid from rain.The tree was cut and cut ,pared and pared again and again.Day after day,year after year,the south half of it was all withered.Only the north half is still alive because of the root in the soil deeply.Hence the tree becomes the worst welcome and the most never-do-well of the top because of the reason of Liu Chan in CuiYun Corridor。
