Red Army Committee staff introduced all interesting stories about the hard building road. After liberation, they named the Red Army ferry at the tazishan port in order to commemorate the successful ferry. It was listed as protect unit in province by government in 1980. in 2000, it was listed as the patriotism education basis.
In 2003, the county government decided to build the Red Army ferry site. In 2004, the red army ferry was started to build, with main points like commander sculpture, red army slang crave, red army street, and 7-mile road and 10-mile highway. If all the hard work will be finished besides the mountains, rocks and bushes within 5 months, it brought severe challenges to the workers. Facing the difficulties, they worked together and never stopped until finishing the job. The only break they had was when drinking some water when thirsty or eating some rice when hungry. Luo Shikai, is a small boy just graduated from school and started working here. During the building, he twisted his leg severely. But he continued his working with a stick at the frontier in case delay the work schedule. All took him as the model to donate their strength.
