Cangxi Hongjundu is close to Cangxi county at Sichuan province, having 3000 mu square meters. It is the place where the start of the Red Army′s long march was. moreover, It is the educational basis of national patriotism and one of the top hundred red travel sites.
The site has a brass sculpture, the relic of the Red Army, a terrace of commander and chief, the caved corridor of Red Army and the 4th army starting museum. The Red Army ferry site is the important joint for the red tour site in Sichuan province, Shanxi and Chongqin, the northern ring of the Sichuan tour as well as the golden tour at Jialing River.

>> Origin of red army ferry
In the spring of 1933, in order to cooperate with the Central China Red Army against the Japanese Invasion at the north, the fourth part group ferry the river west forwards with the order. In July 1980 the “red army ferry” was listed by the government as the provincial cultural relic protection unit.
In the eve of august 1st in 1987 on the day of the 60th anniversary of China liberation army, an outstanding sculpture of the Red Army ferrying the river stands along the river, bringing the new color to this hero area. |
