Refrigerator:We should spare 20% of the refrigerator space for nothing.Containing too many things or too few things,the refrigerator will eat up a lot of power.There should be more than 10mm interspace among the food and between the food and the refrigerator.To put a ice plastic box into the refrigerator-freezers can reduce the operating hours.

Air Conditoner:When an air conditioner is started,its momentary current is high,so frequent switching can consume too much electricity and may do damage to the compressor easily.We should turn off the air conditioner after its several hours' operating and turn on the electrical fan right away,in this way can we save nearly 50% electricity.And using this method before going to bed,you can still feel cool during the night.In addition,to enable the moisture removal mode can cool a hotter space and can save more electricity than the cooling mode.

Washing Machine:With the same operating period,stonger impeller and shorter dead time can save more electricity and extend the life of the washing machine.By an one-minute dewatering based on 1680 rev/min(available only for impeller-type),the dehydration rate can reach 55%.Normal dewatering is less than three minutes,if expanded,it has little significance.

Microwave Oven:For dry food,we should add some water to it before stirring it well,and cover or wrap it with a layer of polypropylene cling film or place it in a covered heat-resistant glass ware before heating it up.The weight of the food heated up per time had better not over 0.5 kg,and it's better to chop it into pieces.When coming in a large amount,the food should be heated up in different time periods with stirs.Don't forget to heat up food over high heat.In order to reduce the switching time when unfreezing food,you can move the food from the freezing compartment to the freezer let it thaw slowly.

Computer:When the computer is set aside,you should enable the sleep mode,and in this way the power consumption can fall less than half.You should turn off the unemployed programs and the peripheral equipment like the sound box and the printer.You should not let the hard disk、floppy disk and CD-ROM operate simultaneously as much as possible.You should lower the brightness of the display properly.Cautions for laptop:Allow the battery to discharge completely;not to use external devices as much as possible;turn off the unemployed devices and interfaces;turn off the screen saver.Reasonable shutdown mode:"in standby mode" when immediately needed;"sleep mode" for battery application;"shut down" when out of use.On WindowsXP during the battery application,through the SpeedStep technique CPU automatic frenquency reduction is available with the energy consumption falling by 40%.

Gas:High heat is more effective and cost-efficient than low heat.To avoid the waste of gas,the flame should not stretch out of the bottom of the pan.In summer,ambient temperature is high.When boiling a kettle,you should make it uncovered at first to ensure heat transfer between the water inside and the air,after this completes,you can cover the kettle with a lid,and in this way you can save gas.When cooking,you should wipe off the water outside the pot at first.And remember cooking method rather than streaming method first.The pressure cooker or smoke-free stainless steel pot should be used for the hard-cooked food.And when heating up cooked food,you should use the microwave oven.All these can help save gas.
