On October 20, the bacterial strains and bacterial species of Tongjiang tremella prepared for the test jointly carried out by Beijing Shenzhoutianchen Technology & Industry Co., Ltd of Beijing and Microbe Research & Development Center of Soil and Fertilizer Institute, CAAS were sent to Beijing Aerospace City. Yesterday, Xu Xu, the leader of the research group of “The Technology Test and Research of Space-exposed Tongjiang Tremella Seed”, introduced that 14 test tubes of bacterial species (about 28ml) were scheduled to travel by Shenzhou Ⅷ into space for breeding test in November this year. Tongjiang tremella was put into capsule and has been sent to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center now.

At the beginning of this year, the project of Tongjiang Tremella Space-exposed Seed Test was officially launched by Tongjiang County, Beijing Shenzhoutianchen Technology & Industry Co., Ltd of Beijing and Microbe Research & Development Center of Soil and Fertilizer Institute, CAAS. In order to optimize the bacterial species of Tongjiang Tremella, the Science and Technology Bureau of Tongjiang has strived for the test project since 2009 and finally achieved success this year.

It is reported that Tongjiang County plans to spend three years to finish the test, and the scheduled fund is about 0.5 million Yuan. If the test achieves success at last, the bottleneck restriction of Tongjiang Tremella bacterial species will be effectively solved, the output and quality of tremella will also be improved and industrialization of Tongjiang Tremella will be promoted as well.
