Professional Education Systems Institute Provides English
training in Tianzhu County Gansu
From April 31 to May 6, a team of 17 English trainers from
Professional Education Systems Institute led by professor Qian trained
English in Tianzhu county Gansu. On May 1, local Department of Education
and Visual and Audio Teaching  Center
held a reception for the team. Yang Bingqiang and Xie Yuquan, the deputy
directors of the Department of Education and Yan Zonghua, the director
of the Visual and Audio Teaching Center attended the reception and delivered
speeches. They said they were very pleased for the trainers' coming and
extended gratitude to Town and Talent for the arrangement. They expected
that the trainee teachers take this good opportunity to improve their
English and study the updated educational methods and theories brought
by the experts so as to enhance their teaching ability. Professor Qian
also made a wonderful speech.
37 English teachers of middle schools and 39 of primary
schools and 21 children took part in the training. The purpose of this
training was to improve the trainees' oral English, organizing skills
in class, teaching methods and techniques and communicating ability. It
was beneficial for them to become the backbone of local English education.
The teaching material was the special one used by American teachers. Openness,
participation and inter-act were the characteristics of the training.
To offer the trainees more opportunities of communicating
with the trainers, many activities were held, such as Tibet dance, sports
and games, imitating western countries festivals to experience the culture
and visiting the trainees' home.
After the training, a test was conducted and result showed
that all the participants had improved their oral English. After a general
appraisal, all the trainees were offered qualified certificates. All the
trainees felt they had benefited a lot from the training and hoped there
would be more training like it.
It is the 8th training provided by PESI. 128 trainers have
come to Gansu and 690 local teachers have benefited from the trainings.
