Beizhen Pass (Baizhen Pass)
    Beizhen Pass also known as Baizhen Pass: about one kilometer from
north of Bijie Town, a crucial pass leading to Yun nan in ancient
times with the rugged feature. The temple on the mountain was built
in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, is still active. And there is
spring behind the temple, water quality is superior, cool and
intoxicated sweet, even it doesn’t rain the spring will not dry,
which is natural mineral water instead of drinking water for many
people in Bijie. The poem says: it’s a long time for knowing your
name, this time I’m going to the Beizhen Pass, Daotian River surges,
spring flows among the mountain. Wash your spirit in temple, incense
is prosperous, one soldier can defend the pass because its precipitous,
the wind comes, the fog diffuses, the mountain is so high and covered
with clouds and its beautiful is stunning, many springs and autumns has
passed but I do not know what year is this year. The clouds concentrate
and the sky is so dark, the mountain is deep and the way is far, I
wasn’t born in a good time and good place, buried in the grasses.
Sigh sigh, why not born in Washington, it must be very exciting. If born
in the Forbidden City, Huashan is also unknown, if locate in the ancient
Chang'an, Emperor Wu must come to the pass, how many unfair things in the
world, make people worry and think. It seems all things in the world will
be changed by time, so it is not easy to comment.
