| On Dec 29, 2006, we connected with the only living Red 
                    Army in Guyuan City- Mr. Wu He-man. He was 96 years old. Because 
                    he was a little dumb, some questions were explained by his 
                    granddaughter-in-law. 
                     
                      |  |  1. Q: when did you join in the Red Army?A: On Jun 22, 1930, the Red Army arrived at Jiangxi Province 
                    and I joined it.
 2. Q: which army did you belong to?
 A: I belonged to the First Armies. On Aug, 1934, the Long 
                    March began in Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.
 3. Q: what’s your position in the Red Army?
 A: I was a platoon in the First Armies.
 4. Q: would you please tell us something about your battle? 
                    Were you afraid of it?
 A: at that time, the KMT had planes, and they always threw 
                    bombs on our heads. We had no way but rushing into mountains. 
                    We Red Armies were not afraid of losing lives.
 5. Q: what was your spiritual support in the Long March?
 A: Chairman Mao said that as long as we were not afraid of 
                    losing lives, we could succeed at last.
 6. Q: have you even been hurt in the battle?
 A: yes, I have hurt for twice. One bullet ran through my 
                    cheek and another hurt my right leg.
 7. Q: what was your situation after being hurt?
 A: when I was awake, I found no one exist on the battle field. 
                    I crawled into a cave, where a local villager discovered me 
                    and took me home. From then on, I lost the connection the 
                    Red Army and lived in Guyuan.
 8. Q: Has the government sent you any medal?
 A: No.
 9. Q: what’s your expectation of life?
 A: I didn’t read much books and I hope you can learn more 
                    knowledge.
