                | Mr. Wu He-man arrived at hometown

                | In the afternoon of Oct 21, Mr. Wu He-man came to his hometown-Shangshan 
                  Town, Jiangxi Province. When the car arrived at the front of 
                  town government, thousands of villagers lighted firecracker 
                  to welcome the old Red Army soldier. It was only 1km from the 
                  government to his home. But it cost more than one hour. When 
                  the car stopped, dozens of photographers took pictures of him. 
                  His younger brother went forward to hold his hands. 20 minutes 
                  later, they together entered their old house. |  
 
               
                | Mr. Wu He-man visited Jiujiang City |   
                | In the morning of Oct 21, Mr. Wu He-man visited Jiujiang 
                    City with the accompany of Vice secretary of Jiujiang City-Mr 
                    Zhang Hua-dong. They came to Hezhong Square, where people 
                    applauded to welcome the Red Army soldier. Mr Wu waved his 
                    hands to express his gratitude. When the old man saw 100m 
                    high fountain, he said that it was so beautiful. In the city 
                    planning exhibition hall, Mr Wu was quite happy to see models 
                    of buildings and roads. At the end of visit, Mr Wu sighed 
                    that the construction of Jiujiang City was very great.  |  
 
               
                | The Long March Spirit |   
                | Between Oct 19 to 23, the journalist of Guyuan Daily interviewed 
                    the whole possess of the Red Army soldier-Mr. Wu He-man going 
                    hometown. The old man's spirit moved every journalist in the 
                    presence. One noon, the government staff in Yuanzhou District 
                    invited Mr Wu and journalists to have lunch. The waitress 
                    offered a big bowl of rice to Mr Wu, who sighed that if only 
                    we could eat rice in the Long March. At last, no grain of 
                    rice was left in his bowl. Since 1935, he was hurt in the 
                    battle; he never troubled the government in Guyuan City. Until 
                    1980, the civil bureau did research about living Red Army 
                    soldier; they got to know his story. As for a 96 years old 
                    man, his Long March Spirit impressed a lot in every journalist's 
                    heart. |

                | In the afternoon of Oct 20, when the Red Army soldier- 
                    Mr. Wu He-man reached the train station, the officials of 
                    Jiujiang City government and armed police came to welcome 
                    his arrival. More than 20 photographers crowded together in 
                    order to take his photos and some were hurt in the chaos.
