This is the photo of Mr Liu Zhan-fu couple and us.
In the noon of Oct 22, 2006, we interviewed the farmed in Zhangyi
Town- Mr Liu Zhan-fu. We heard that Mr Liu's elder brother was
once a Red Army soldier and Maozhuang Village in Zhangyi Town
was the last village crossed by the Red Army before they climbed
Liupan Mountain. In the interview, we had deep understanding
of Long March route in Liupan Mountain area; however, we felt
ashamed that we knew so little about the Red Army's history
in our hometown. We decided to share this knowledge to our classmates.
1. Q: was there any story about the Red Army in Liupan Mountain
area?
A: yes, they had good relation with local villagers. Before
entering each village, they sent vanguards to take a message
to villagers. Only if they permitted, the main body of Red Army
entered.
2. Q: was there anyone joined the Red Army?
A: yes, my elder brother-Mr. Ding You-shan joined the Red Army
and came back after the liberation of China in 1949. The government
treated him very well. After his death, his wife was still taken
good care of.
3. Q: what did your elder brother wear at that time?
A: well, their clothes were full of patches.
4. Q: did any battle happen in Zhangyi Town?
A: yes, in Jiangtaibao, the vanguards of the Red Army fought
with KMT. |
