In Tang and Song Dynasties, this ferry was the important way and an ancient bridle-road connecting Cangxi with Jiange. The ferries were like shuttles, passers-by were like weaving, and the scenery was quite splendid and beautiful.

The Chinese Red Army transited across the river

The couplets on the gate gave us a shock that the signature was Zhao Puchu. We found that not far away this Linjiang temple was Tazishan Bay, a ferry where the Red Army transited across Jialingjiang River in 1935. And now it was called Red Army Ferry. In 1984, the famous calligrapher Mr. Zhao, also the then-vice president of the National Committee of the CPPCC inscribed this couplets here, tightly combing the contents of the poem saga's seeing off guests in old days and the red army's transiting across ferry in modern times. The contents of the couplets were cleverly constructed, of deep and profound meaning, making readers deeply touched.
